"Symphony", 2024
Acrylic on canvas
I have loved the combination of primary colors for a long time. This piece was a challenge to myself to see what range I can access in lights and darks of red, yellow, and blue. This also was an exercise in knowing when to stop adding details and how to balance color. I feel like I don't do a lot of abstraction, so I really enjoyed giving this a try.

"Don't Let Perfect be the Enemy of Good", 2023
Acrylic on canvas, embroidery floss, beads
My friend said this while we were reflecting, and it struck me so hard that it didn't leave my mind for a week. It has been an extremely helpful saying for me, and I wanted to immortalize it in some way. I got covid and really wanted to use this color palette, so while quarantining for 5 days I painted all of this, and then I added the embroidery and the beads at a later date.
